It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Glen on Saturday, November 27, 2021 at the age of 59 years.
Glen is predeceased by his parents Marnie and Glen Austin. Special friend of Bonnie Darroch. Devoted father to Dorothy Chaval of Fort Frances, David and Alex Austin both of Hanmer. He will be missed by his siblings Ken and his partner Margaret of London, Cindy (Bob, predeceased) of Port Dover, Scott (Rhonda) of Capreol and Keith (Lynn) of Capreol. Glen had many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Rest In Peace—John "Jack" STEWART
In loving memory of John "Jack" Stewart who passed away on Saturday, November 6th, 2021 at his residence at the age of 83.
Beloved husband of Nancy Stewart (nee Stanzel) predeceased 1997. Loving father of Terry (Marilyn) and Shona predeceased. Cherished grandfather of Karl (Leanne) and Stephanie (Dave) and great grandfather of Connor, Hannah, Hailey, Sawyer, Avery, and Carson. Predeceased by his parents Wilfred and Margaret Stewart and siblings Bill Stewart (Margaret), Beatrice Metcalf and Margaret Drake (Bill). Special friend and partner of Carol Morrison. Sadly missed by his nieces and nephews.
Jack was an avid outdoorsman, always happiest spending time in the bush or on the water. He loved cross country skiing, physical fitness, his daily walks, and trips to his hunt camp at Stackpool, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and canoeing. Jack worked his entire career with the Canadian National Railway retiring after more than 35 years. In his earlier years, he was a dedicated member of the Masonic Lodge and long time member of Trinity United Church in Capreol.
Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home, Hanmer/Capreol Chapel, 4605 Michelle Drive, Hanmer where friends may gather after 10:30am Monday, November 15th, 2021. Rest In Peace—Patrick LEONARD
Patrick Gerald Leonard passed away 06 November 2021, peacefully, in the nursing home with his wife (Lois) nearby. They had been together for 68 years!
Pat was born 10 November 1929 in Hornepayne Ontario, the 5th of 6 children. He is predeceased by his parents Robert & Edith Leonard, all of his siblings and 1 grandchild. Pat worked for Canadian National Railway in Northern Ontario while raising a family of 3 boys and enjoying cottage life. Pat felt that service connects us to the community by helping to improve it and make it a better place for all to live in. He demonstrated that through being a town councillor, joining the arena board and as a lifelong Shriner. After retirement they joined the community at Agnew Lake Ontario.
Those left behind to mourn Pat include his wife (Lois), sons Robert (Karen), Kenneth (Connie), and Patrick Jr (Christine); 5 nephews/nieces; 8 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; lifelong friends/workmates and those at Collingwood Nursing Home in Collingwood Ontario.
People wishing to honor Patrick's lifelong commitment to family and community can make donations or gifts of service to the charity of their choice.

Rest In Peace—Joanne YADE
On Oct. 26,2021 at Health Sciences North with family and close friends, Joanne Catherine Yade peacefully left this world.
Born to Ronald and Evelyne (nee Geddes) Yade on Sept. 8, 1957 in Sudbury, she grew into a compassionate, intelligent, loving, and humble woman with a kind heart. Her creativity & many talents were expressed through vocal & instrumental music, crafts, various art forms & cooking. After moving to Capreol she became an active member in Trinity United Church. Even when illness confined her to her home, she maintained her wonderful sense of humour & generous nature.
Predeceased by her father, Ronald, and sister, Kim, left to grieve are her mother, Evelyne, brother Mike Yade, niece, Vikki (Anthony Caradonna), nephew, Nick Yade, foster sister, Lena Slivinski, foster niece, Hayley Green and 2 great nephews, 1 great niece, and dear friends, Marilyn Neganegijig, Millie Cayen and Faye Moffat.

Rest In Peace—Ethel CHARRON
It is with profound sadness that the family announces her death at the age 97 years on November 2, 2021, at St. Joseph's Villa.
Ethel was born in Charlottetown PEI and moved to Ontario in her early twenties where she met her "Sugar" Paul-Emile Charron. They were married on May 10, 1945 and were fortunate enough to celebrate 56 Wedding Anniversaries. Loving mother of George Garnhum (late Joan), Paulette Leach (Garry) and Claudette Strom (John). She will be missed and lovingly remembered by her 10 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 9 great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her 7 sisters and 4 brothers.
Ethel spent many years working alongside the love of her life, Paul-Emile running a fishing and hunting camp north of Capreol, known as the McKee's Camp. The guests were continuously wowed by her fabulous cooking skills. She was also very active in her community in her younger years. She was a Commissioner for the Girl Guides, and she was on the board of the Sudbury ballet company. In 1984 Ethel received the Ontario Bicentennial Award recognizing her unselfish service to the community as a volunteer whose contribution of talent and time assisted and inspired others to achieve their own goals.
Ethel was an avid bowler, enjoyed Father Roy's bingo with her friends, loved to play poker with her PEI crew, and was a very talented baker. Ethel was known in the community for her baking, taking orders for fancy cookies, squares, and decorating cakes for any occasion.
The family would like to thank CCAC for their years of support which allowed our mother to remain in her home for as long as she could. We would also like to recognize the staff at St. Joseph's Villa for the wonderful care and compassion during the final years of Ethel's life.
Interment will take place in St. Johns Cemetery, Garson on November 13, 2021, at 1:00 p.m., followed by a celebration of life at the Wahnapitae Community Centre from 2-4 p.m. Face masks and social distancing must be adhered, and proof of vaccination may be required.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Joseph's Villa or the Maison McCulloch Hospice would be appreciated. Cremation services entrusted to Simple Wishes of the North, Sudbury.

Rest In Peace—Michael Aldemar BOIS
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Michael Bois on Sunday October 17th, 2021 at the age of 78.
Michael will be dearly missed by his daughters, Carrie of Toronto and Michelle (Mark) of Orangeville. He took extreme pride in his two grandchildren Jack Michael Bruce (16) and James Hugh (14). Michael leaves behind his partner, Anne Chaloux and his faithful companion, Jorja.
Michael was predeceased by his loving sister Nancy and brother-in-law Duncan. He will be forever remembered by his sister Joanne Romanko (husband Ron), brother, Richard Bois (wife Carol) and many nieces and nephews.
His lake Penage camp was a place of happiness and peace for him where he enjoyed puttering, fishing, preparing his renowned camp breakfast, and a game of cribbage.
Michael spent his career in the automotive industry as a Service Advisor. Prior to retiring, he was the Service Advisor at Mazzuca Chrysler in Capreol, Ontario.
One of the biggest gifts to his family and his legacy will be his decision 34 years ago to commit to his sobriety. As a friend of Bill W, he was engaged in this community offering his wisdom and support to friends in a variety of settings.
The family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to his compassionate healthcare team at NEOCC and his wonderful homecare nurses(Julie, Tara and Kristy).
As an expression of sympathy, the family would greatly appreciate donations to the Bladder Cancer Association of Canada or Maison McCulloch Hospice.
A celebration of life will be held at the Lively Golf and Country Club, 305 6th Avenue, on Saturday, November 13th from 1-4pm. Proof of vaccination, ID and masks required.

The family of Terry Prescott of Penticton, BC is saddened to announce his passing on September 21, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Terry grew up in Capreol, ON and moved out West in 1967. He had a long career as a tour bus driver in Vancouver. Music, trains, travel and friends filled his life.
Terry is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sheila; his best friend, Jim Cushman; siblings, Don, Crystal, Haroldene, Heather, Patsy, Bruce, Doug, Randy and Reg; as well as numerous nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is predeceased by siblings, Robert and Shirley.
Terry's family would like to thank the nurses and staff at Westview Place North in Penticton for their compassionate care.

Elisabeth (Lisa) was born in Trautenbach, Sudetenland in 1926. Daughter of Franz and Johanna and sister to Anna and Herbert (all predeceased). Lisa immigrated to Canada in 1953 and married Gerry Herbert (predeceased) of Capreol in 1957. Dear mother of Jennifer Johanna (Greg). Cherished Nana of Joey Ferguson (Heather) of Oshawa and Jacob Ferguson (Amanda) of Bridgenorth. Beloved Great Nana to Emma, Thomas, and William. Later in life, Lisa enjoyed the company of Rolf Lorenz (predeceased) of Toronto and they travelled to many places together. Also fondly remembered by her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Lisa had been a longtime resident of Capreol until moving closer to her daughter in 2016. She loved gardening, sewing, and crocheting. She was involved in the Girl Guides of Canada, the Eastern Star, and the United Church.

Rest In Peace—Roland DUBREUIL

In the morning of September 9, 2021 our courageous father Roland Adrien Dubreuil (90) made his final journey back to the embrace of his loving wife Rose, while his children watched over with undying love, admiration and respect. Words cannot express the void that is felt with his passing. We will miss him greatly.
Roland is predeceased by his wife, Rose and is survived by their 4 children Normand, Mariette, Héléne (Gilles) and France (Glenn); 7 grandchildren Maryanne, Angie, Andrew (Jaimie), Allana (Chris), Amanda, Ryan, and Sara (Tyler); and 8 great grandchildren Ericka, Noah, Sophie, Ryley, Madyson, Trista, Mylah, and Taylah).
A short graveside ceremony will be held for Roland and Rose at the Capreol Cemetery on September 24th at 2:30 p.m.

Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Woodstock Hospital on Saturday, September 11, 2021 in his 85th year.
Loving husband of the late Jill V. (nee Knight) Hanzel (2018). Cherished father of Ronnie (Brad) Hallock, Natalie (Tom) Gillespie, Norma (Doug) Chambers, Paula Hanzel and Phil (Julie) Hanzel. Dear grandfather of thirteen and great grandpa of eleven. Dear brother of Edward (late Shirley), Douglas (late Jackie), brother-in-law of Jim (late Gay) McGregor and will be missed by his many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents; Joseph and Rose Hanzel and by his brothers; Don (Lorna), Bill, and Joseph (Isabel).
Cliff was a past employee of Timberjack for over 45 years. He loved many sports. He played hockey as a child and made it to the farm team for the Boston Bruins. His love for baseball ran deep. When he played, he pitched with a side arm and left the batter spinning. When he couldn't play anymore his love turned to watching his beloved Jays.
A private family service will be held at the Brock and Visser Funeral Home, Woodstock, 519-539-0004. Cremation has taken place. Interment will take place in the Hillview Cemetery Columbarium. It is with deep sadness that the family of Marcel Thomas Turgeon announces his peaceful passing on the evening of Wednesday, September 8, 2021, in his home on Manitoulin Island at the age of 85 years. Marcel just celebrated his 62 year anniversary with his loving and devoted wife Haroldene "Deanie" (Prescott). Loving Father to David and Gregory and adored Papa to Matheson, Mackenzie, and Lindsey. He will be sadly missed by his loving sisters Rochelle Servant, Jeanne D'Arc Boulanger, and his brother Marc Turgeon and his deceased sister Anita Turgeon. He will also be sadly missed by many extended family members and friends, fondly remembered by the many Prescott brothers and sisters-in-law and their families.
Marcel was born on July 1, 1936, in Gogama, Ontario to Edelta and Joseph Turgeon. He lived a full wonderful life and was known for his good sense of humor and hard work, kindness, and generosity. He achieved 36 years as a Locomotive engineer with CN rail out of Capreal, Ontario. He enjoyed singing and playing the guitar with many friends and family. He also dedicated his time to playing the guitar for many years at the Immaculate Conception Church in M'Chigeeng. Marcel was an outstanding Man and he will be greatly missed by all. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation service. Andonetta was born in San Clemente Di Galuccio, Caserta, Italy on December 23, 1940. She loved her family and friends. Her door was always open, all were welcomed with a huge smile and generously offered baked goods, homemade food, or vegetables from the garden. No one ever left hungry or empty handed. She kept a beautiful garden just like her late husband. He would be proud of the way she maintained the tradition. She was a longstanding member of the Catholic Women's League in Capreol. It was truly a testament to how much she was loved and affected those around her by the number of family and friends who gathered by her side to provide comfort and bid her farewell. Special thanks to family, friends, and healthcare professionals for their continued support, kindness, and help throughout the years.

Rest In Peace—Cornelia (Cathy) ENCIL
Cathy was peacefully carried away 'in the arms of the angels', surrounded by her family after a second courageous battle with cancer.
She is survived, and will be dearly missed by her husband, James F. Encil, her daughter Tabitha Stewart (Reg Picard), her twin grandsons Bailey Stewart-Stevens and Devon Stewart-Stevens (Max Desilets) and great granddaughter Annabelle; her siblings Ken (Verna) Verbakel, Anne (Wally) Van Niekerk, Josie Windsor, Rick (Kelly) Verbakel, Betsy (Dennis) Broughton, her twin brother John (Peggy) Verbakel, and youngest brother Frank (Linda) Verbakel and sister in law Brenda Verbakel as well as many loving cousins, nieces and nephews. She will also be missed by Jim's children and grandchildren, and many dear friends.
Cathy is predeceased by her parents, two brothers Bill and Henry and sister in law Donna Verbakel.
Cathy was the driving force behind the Capreol Community Closet where she devoted many hours and also spent her time between the Bread & Roses Food Bank, containers for Haiti Relief, St. Vincent de Paul and feeding the homeless in downtown Sudbury. Cathy recently received awards from Capreol CAN, the City of Greater Sudbury, and both the Provincial and Federal Governments for her volunteerism and caring.
Cathy particularly wanted to thank all those who became her "family" in Capreol – her many volunteers and friends at the 'Closet' and the prayer support and friendship from the 'Food Bank' group at the Trinity United Church.
In Cathy's words: On June 10th, 2006, I married the man of my dreams, kind, thoughtful and ever so loving. We moved to 80 Sellwood Avenue, Capreol, a town I'd never heard of and where I didn't know anyone. It wasn't too long before I was meeting people, saying hello on the streets. They all made me feel welcome. Soon I figured out why God put me there. With the help of many volunteers, the Capreol Community Closet was open and ready to help all in need. I had found my purpose in life! Love, Care, Help & Always be Kind.With the help of the whole town of Capreol, we did it, together… thank you all from the bottom of my heart. Rest In Peace—Stella BOUDREAU
In loving memory of Stella Boudreau, who passed away peacefully Sunday morning at home. Aged 79 years, she was born in Parry Sound to Rina and Alphonse Ouellette (both predeceased) on April 4th, 1942. Stella was happily married for 56 years to her love and "the star of her life," Andrew Boudreau. Together they had three children: Andrew Boudreau Jr. (Karen), Michele Cassio, and Monique Farrell (Shane). She was a dedicated and family-oriented mother and an adored Nonni to all 6 of her grandchildren: Jacob Boudreau (Tarrah), Myella Boudreau, Sam Cassio (Alanna), Haley Cassio (Jonathan), Abigail Cassio (Max), and Molly Farrell. She excitedly welcomed her first great-grandchild, Maxwell Cassio, in August, 2020. Dear sister of Gloria Ouellette (predeceased), Rino Ouellette (predeceased; Moira), Brenda Mailloux (Paul), Betty Wilson (Peter), Anna Peter (Victor), and Louis Ouellette (Paula). She will be deeply missed by all of her nieces and nephews, her special friend Cathy Labrash, whom Stella considered as more like a daughter, as well as her dearly loved, lifelong friend Marilyn Ouellette.
Kindness and charity meant everything to Stella, and she took immense care and pride in serving those around her, always being generous with her time, her empathy, her food, and her prayer. She was an important and beloved member of the community in Capreol (considered by some to be the unofficial mayor). Amongst the many groups she dedicated herself to, Stella was a devoted Roman Catholic who belonged to and actively participated in the Catholic Women's League for 38 years. Stella will be remembered for her sharp wit and her even sharper memory, her commitment to her family and her faith, and her gift of conversation. Those who had the privilege to know her will forever miss her weekly (or daily) phone calls, the laughter that danced around the kitchen table, and her unwavering love for everybody she held close to her heart.

Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 18th, 2021 at Extendicare Falconbridge. Reunited with his beloved wife Katherine Sweezey (nee Wychara) predeceased in 2015. Predeceased by his parents Adam and Alice Sweezey (nee Fraser) and siblings Gilmour (Grace also predeceased), Vernon Nepitt (Alex Sr. also predeceased), Norma Auger (Harvey Sr. also predeceased), Geraldine "Gerry" Lee (Micky also predeceased), and Ronald. He is survived by his sister Doris McLeish (Alex predeceased), sister-in-law Joyce Sweezey, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Donny was born on July 13th, 1930 in Capreol. He worked for many years as a train conductor with CNR. He was a long-time member of St. Alban the Martyr Church in Capreol. He enjoyed gardening and puzzles. Over the years he and Katherine made many happy memories travelling.

Shirley was born and raised in Capreol. She was an active member of this community for her entire life. Shirley was a member of Eastern Star, Rebekah Lodge, Red Hats and had a love for line dancing. Early in her career, she worked in the offices at CN Rail before beginning work at the Capreol Municipal offices, a position she held for much of her working career. Shirley was a lifetime member of the Capreol First Baptist Church. Along with being a faithful member of the Church, she was an active Sunday school teacher, pianist, treasurer, and many more notable roles in the Church. Shirley's true joy was her family, spending countless memorable moments with her grandchildren. Shirley was a deeply faithful person and showed her love in Christ in everything she did and everyone she met.

Carolyn went home to her Lord and Saviour on Sunday, July 18th, 2021, at Health Sciences North with her two daughters holding her hands.
Loving and devoted wife of 62 years to Dennis Irwin. She will be deeply missed and forever loved by her children, Brian Irwin (Suzanne) of Goulais River, Ontario, Brenda Irwin, and Colleen Thompson (Mark) of Sudbury. She was a doting and proud Grandma to Amber (Anthony), Connie, Courtney, Taryn, and Ethan. Dear Aunt to Sherry Cuthbertson (John) and Great Aunt to Aaron and Katie. Her grandchildren were the light of her life and always brought a smile to her face, even during her most difficult years. She will be missed by many friends.
Carolyn was born in Sudbury on October 1st, 1942. She grew up in Capreol and married Dennis of Markstay on October 4th, 1958. They spent the majority of their marriage in the house they built in Naughton, filling it with life and love. Carolyn's faith was very important to her. She was a long time member of the Lively Baptist Church, and in later years attended Berean Baptist in Sudbury. She loved the old hymns, with 'It Is Well With My Soul' being her favourite. She was a secretary at various schools, and retired from R.H. Murray Public School in Whitefish, where she loved being around the children. Family dinners and get-togethers with friends brought her much joy. She cooked many favourite dishes, but was most known for her famous brownies. She enjoyed the simple things, like a nice hot cup of tea, reading her Bible and devotions, feeding the Blue Jays, and heading out early for Saturday morning yard sales. She left us with many happy memories that we will cherish in our hearts forever.
The family would like to extend a very heartfelt thank you to the staff, nurses, doctors and PSWs – especially Chantal – at Health Sciences North 4th floor North Tower for their excellent care of not only Carolyn, but her family as well. Thank you also to the wonderful staff at Extendicare York – especially Bonnie – for taking such great care of Mom and Dad.

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Helen McNeely (Lingard) announces the passing of their cherished mother, sister, grandmother, great, and great great grandmother at St. Gabriel's Villa in Chelmsford after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Helen resided in Capreol, Ontario most of her life. She worked for more than 20 years as a Health Care Aide. She was a strong-willed woman with a tender heart. She had a great love for the outdoors and animals, particularly her beloved dogs. She leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is predeceased by her loving husband Frank Lingard. She will be missed by her sister Yvonne Lancia, her children David Lingard (wife Rosemary), Gwenne Roles (husband Brian), Shelley Westhaver (husband Gary), Cathy Gill (husband Richard), Jeff Lingard, and Alex Lingard (wife Laura), as well as her grandchildren (Kyle, Kurt, Brandy, Marcey, T.J., Frank, David, Amber, Danielle, Stacey, Tammy, Laurie, Stacey ) and her great grandchildren (Eric, Billie, Nicholas, Janna, Bryson, Zoey, Hailey, Emily, Briana, Michael, Kyle, Sarah, and Allison), and great great grandchildren (Iliana, Eliyas).

On Friday, March 4, 1938 in a humble farmhouse in Honora, Manitoulin Karl Campbell took his first breath.
With his two eldest children by his side, on Monday, July 5, 2021 at the age of 83, that same Honora Boy, in that same still humble farmhouse, took his final breath.
His deepest wish honored. His family knows this for the blessing that it is.

It Is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hazel in her 99th year on Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at Health Sciences North.
Hazel was born in Richmond, Ontario on November 13th, 1922 to William and Bertha Boyle (nee Graham) both predeceased. She married her beloved husband James Henry "Harry" Matthews in Ottawa on March 2ND, 1946 and moved to Capreol. She will be sadly missed by her family Charlie "Butch" and Janice Skinner & family, John and Kathy Armstrong & family, Laurie Kyryluk predeceased and son Scott, and Verna Matthews Barstead & family as well as her dear friends Bruna Nordman & family, Sharon Shane & family, Kelly Graham & children, Kim McGee and children, Sister Dianne, Noella Allaire, Sue Armstrong, Carmen & Don Lemeieux, Stella and Andy Boudreau, Don and Shirley Degagne, Harold and Marg Johnson both predeceased & family and Julie Monaghan.
In her younger years, Hazel worked briefly at Statistics Canada. Hazel loved the color purple, going to the slots with Bruna and Julie and going to the Mother House Chapel in North Bay with Sister Dianne. She and Harry made many happy memories at their camp on Lake Wahnapitae. She had a great sense of humor and has left us with many memories we will cherish. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sister Dianne, Lise St. Jacques and Amanda Rainville NP, as well as the staff, nurses and doctors at Health Sciences North 4th floor North Tower, and to all the PSW's for their care and compassion.
A memorial service will be held in the R.J. Barnard Chapel, Jackson & Barnard Funeral Home (233 Larch Street, Sudbury) on Saturday, July 10th, 2021 at 2pm. Friends may gather at the funeral home after 1:30 pm on Saturday.

Rest In Peace—Norman BECKETT
Norman Ross Beckett, age 91 of Capreol, Ontario passed away on June 27th 2021. Norman was born in Regina Saskatchewan on July 1st 1929 to Fred and Ethel (Bloomer) Beckett. He attended high school in Halifax, N.S. and graduated with a Masters of Biology from Dalhousie University in 1952. He married Gretchen Marie Herman of Halifax in 1954, and they moved to Val d' Or, Quebec where he taught high school science. In 1955 he moved his family to Capreol, Ontario to continue teaching, later becoming Principal of Capreol High School and eventually retiring in 1987. He dedicated much of his time to supporting community initiatives and was involved in The United Church of Canada well into his eighties.
Norman loved hunting, fishing, canoeing, gardening, photography, maintaining his 50 year old roof and puttering around his yard with one project or another.
Norman is survived by his daughters: Erin Fullerton (Vince) and grandchildren Lauren and Geoffrey; Claire Beckett and grandchildren Christopher and Nicholas; Thorel Beckett (Bruce) and grandchildren Liisa and Markku; Elaine Beckett-Albert (Norman) and grandchildren Graham and Jillian, and his brother Brian (Mary). Norman was predeceased by his wife Getchen Beckett, his parents Fred and Ethel Beckett, and his sisters Delma Green and Doreen Noble.
The family of Norman Beckett wish to thank the Saint Joseph's Villa Staff for their dedication and genuine compassion for Norm.

In loving memory of Rodney Carl White who passed away Thursday, June 24, 2021, after a short battle with cancer at the age of 61.
Born in Sudbury and lifelong resident of Capreol, Rod enjoyed his retirement from CN and could always be found watching CNN, staying on top of current events, and chatting with his American friends on his computer. He enjoyed all types of music especially Acapela, Doo-wap and the oldies. Rod was a man who enjoyed his solitude but loved his daughter and grandchildren very much.
Remembered by his daughter Courtney White (Brent Grenon) and grandchildren Vinny and Autumn. Predeceased by his parents Rodney White Sr. and Dorothy Lepki. Brother to Christine and Melanie (Jim). Friend and cousin to Dean White. A special thank you to Christine and Dean for their special care during Rod's illness.

After 100 years of celebrated life, Dirkje (Dippie) Hermina Carisse passed away peacefully at Roberta Place, in Barrie on May 22, 2021.
Dippie is predeceased by her Husband Max Carisse (1987), sister Gerrie Geurts (2014), and parents (Hermina & Hessel).
Dippie is lovingly remembered by her daughter Laura (Dan), her son Hess (Berylanne), her grandchildren Craig (Angie), Chris (Sabrina), Carrie (Ivy), Sarah (Darren), Heidi (Carolyn), Caleb (Kasia); and her great-grandchildren Emily, Riley, Bailey, Julia, Lauren, Connor, Max, Kathryn, Kelsey, and Lainey.
Dippie was born in Apeldoorn, Holland, on April 14, 1921. She endured the occupation of German soldiers in the Second World War, married a French-Canadian Soldier, and moved to Canada in 1946. She spent much of her life raising her family in Capreol before moving to Port Hope in 1989. In 2010, she moved to Barrie to be closer to family. She had a blessed life, seeing and experiencing so much and impacting all those around her.
She was a strong and vibrant Dutch woman who was passionate about gardening, swimming, golf, tennis, opera singing, and sweets! She loved the Lord and dedicated her life to serving him.
Cremation has taken place, with private family arrangements entrusted to the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie. A celebration of life will follow at a later date. It is with sadness that we take comfort in knowing our mother and father are now reunited in heaven.
In loving memory of Jeanne Rita Jakubo (nee Soucek), 70 years, who passed away peacefullywith her son and daughter by her side on May 21st, 2021 at Finlandia Village, Sudbury. Beloved wife of Michael (Mike) P. Jakubo, predeceased in 2019. Jeanne was a loving mother to her children Jana (Mark Fritz) and Michael (Jody), and was a devoted Babi to her grandchildren Erik, Malik and Myla. Predeceased by her parents Ernest and Rita Soucek, she will also be remembered by her family in Czechia. Jeanne will be sadly missed by her sisters- and brothers-in-law Sister Mary Jakubo CSJ, Helen Huneault (Gilles) both predeceased, Anne Taus (Romano predeceased), Joseph (Joan) and Edward (Cathy). Also loved by many nieces and nephews, and their families, and is fondly remembered by her friends and anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Jeanne was a strong woman who was devoted to her family, her work, her passions, and her faith with all her heart and soul. From her teenage years right through to retirement, Jeanne was a gymnast and coach with Sampo Rhythmic Gymnastics Club in Sudbury. The Sampo girls were Jeanne's second family and Jeanne will be remembered fondly by the many gymnasts who she coached over the years. For more than 20 years, Jeanne worked in the Linen Department of Health Sciences North (Laurentian site) where she demonstrated her leadership and caring demeanour every day. Jeanne transitioned smoothly into retirement and enjoyed many winter months in Myrtle Beach where she and Mike made new friends and walked hand in hand along the beach. Later in life, Jeanne found her love for golfing. She was an active member of the ladies' executive committee at Pinegrove Golf Course, and she enjoyed golfing on ladies' nights. Jeanne was a woman of faith and a member of the Holy Redeemer Church. Spending time with her children and grandchildren was her utmost pleasure. There was nothing Jeanne loved more than preparing a meal or baking for her family. She always made sure her grandchildren were spoiled and they will never forget how much she loved them. She will be remembered for her wonderful veal schnitzel and potato salad, as well as her blueberry kuchen dessert.
We know that Jeanne is now at peace and that she will be watching over us like she always did in life.

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the passing of Richard John Cotie (Ricky) on May 17, 2021 at the age of 67, following a short battle with cancer. Ricky will be sorely missed by his wife of 48 years, Rhonda Cotie (Simpson) of Capreol. He will be greatly missed by his son Todd, daughters Shawna (Jim Mills), Erin and Kim (Aaron Morris).
Cherished grandfather of Owen, Noah, Avery and Morgan. Dear son of Richard and Lois Cotie both predeceased. Dear brother of Daniel predeceased (Barb), Ken predeceased (Shiela), Cindy (Stuart), Holly, Cathy predeceased, Timothy, and Barbara. Sadly missed by many nieces and nephews.
A lifelong resident of Capreol, he worked at the CNR for 39 years, working a variety of jobs, retiring in 2008. He later worked as a train crew taxi driver, affectionately known as the "bus boy."
Ricky was a handyman, always tinkering around the house, not allowing broken items to be thrown away as he let his family know that he can "fix that". He was known for his sense of humour and love of the outdoors. He enjoyed spending time fishing and cutting wood with friends Gerry Mac and Hector.
Ricky loved animals and will be greatly missed by his beloved pets, Joe Pug, Izzy and Smokey. The family would like to give special thanks to his friend George Boucher for the help he provided during his illness.
Although in the last few months of his life, he wasn't able to do the things he loved the most; we are comforted by the thought that in death he finds peace and the strength to walk the steps that his illness would not allow.

It is with heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of Judith (Judy) Ann Victoria Wright (nee Nepitt) at Health Sciences North on May 19, 2021 at the age of 81 years.
Judy was born in Capreol to Alex and Vernon Nepitt (predeceased). Beloved wife of 58 years to Robert James Wright. Loving mother of Jody Anderson (Christopher) and Tiffany Britton (Robert). Cherished Nana to Jayme, Bradley, Adlih and Thomas. Sister to Alex (Helen) and Sandra (predeceased). Loved by many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and Extended Family. "Mom" to Louise Huether, husband Paul, and Norm and Lisa Latendresse and very special "Grandma" to Danielle and Nicole.
Judy met Robert in Capreol and they began their journey together. They lived in many places over the years but always were able to find special friends and family to spend time with. It was the memories of these special times that gave her most joy. Many a night was spent laughing and remembering all the good times that were enjoyed. Judy gave graciously of her time. She truly enjoyed being with her loving family and friends, and was happiest when they were gathered around her, cooking, baking or just spending time. Her family will always remember her kindness, generosity and her ability to always make sure you felt loved and cared for. She has passed this passion for family onto her children. Judy will be missed by many friends and family.

March 6, 1921 – May 13, 2021
Born in White River, Ontario to Edith (nee Willoughan) and Anton Lundquist. Lil had 4 brothers: Bobby, Norman, Verner, and Bert (all previously deceased).
Lil attended school in White River and in Port Arthur (Thunder Bay) for Secondary School.
During World War II, she worked at Eaton's in Sault Ste. Marie, and then for the CPR office in White River, where she met Wyvern (Bud) Paul. They were married and resided in Chapleau, Ontario until moving to Toronto, Smith Falls, North Bay, and back again to Toronto, where Bud passed away in 1975. Lil moved to Sudbury at that time, then to Capreol to be with her family.
She was a very active member of St. Alban's Anglican Church and Capreol Seniors Club, and in the activities of the other town churches and community groups as well. She polished a lot of brass and baked many goodies and pies during her time living in Capreol.
She was a dear friend to almost all who met her, always willing to listen and care for those she knew.
She will be dearly missed by her family: Daughter Barbara, Son-in-Law Gary (Milt) Finnamore, Granddaughter Lisa, Grandson Robert, her nieces and nephews, and all the great friends in her life. She will also be sadly missed by her good friend Elvin (Cal) Calloughan of Sturgeon Falls.
Her family wish to thank the staff of Extendicare Falconbridge for all the tremendous kindness and loving care they provided. She enjoyed life right to her passing.

Glenn is predeceased by his beloved wife, Doris (Hansen) of 53 years. Loving father of Maureen (Brad) Smith, Redge (Connie), Scott (predeceased Brenda Swanson), special friend, Ann Karnas, and Diane (Allan) Young.
Dear Grandfather to Brandon and Andrew Smith, Vicki and Christopher Simpson and Craig and Jeff Young and Great Grandfather to Thea, Everly, Norah, Edwin, Wyatt, Emily, Cameron, Charlotte, Carson and Milo. Glenn is predeceased by his parents Vera (Portice) and Gordon Simpson of Thunder Bay, ON. Brother to Gordie, Orma-Gayle, Neil and predeceased by Jim.
Glenn was a proud CNR railroader for over 37 years, a Shriner, a Lions Club member, as well as a member and Past Master of the Hornepayne Masonic Lodge. Glenn and Doris spent many years travelling together which brought them on many adventures and provided them with countless wonderful memories.

It Is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hazel in her 99th year on Wednesday, May 5th, 2021 at Health Sciences North.
Hazel was born in Richmond, Ontario on November 13th, 1922 to William and Bertha Boyle (nee Graham) both predeceased. She married her beloved husband James Henry "Harry" Matthews in Ottawa on March 2ND, 1946 and moved to Capreol. She will be sadly missed by her family Charlie "Butch" and Janice Skinner & family, John and Kathy Armstrong & family, Laurie Kyryluk predeceased and son Scott, and Verna Matthews Barstead & family as well as her dear friends Bruna Nordman & family, Sharon Shane & family, Kelly Graham & children, Kim McGee and children, Sister Dianne, Noella Allaire, Sue Armstrong, Carmen & Don Lemeieux, Stella and Andy Boudreau, Don and Shirley Degagne, Harold and Marg Johnson both predeceased & family and Julie Monaghan.
In her younger years, Hazel worked briefly at Statistics Canada. Hazel loved the color purple, going to the slots with Bruna and Julie and going to the Mother House Chapel in North Bay with Sister Dianne. She and Harry made many happy memories at their camp on Lake Wahnapitae. She had a great sense of humor and has left us with many memories we will cherish.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Sister Dianne, Lise St. Jacques and Amanda Rainville NP, as well as the staff, nurses and doctors at Health Sciences North 4th floor North Tower, and to all the PSW's for their care and compassion.

Rest In Peace—Caroline "Carol" CONSTANTIN
It is with heavy hearts and great sadness, that we announce the passing of Caroline Constantin, peacefully with her family by her side, at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday April 14th in her 91st year. She is finally reunited with the love of her life, Raymond Constantin, her husband of 65 years who predeceased her in 2016. Carol will be missed by her children, Suzanne Colasimone (Ray), Michelle Rutledge (Albert) and Robert (Laurie LeBreton). She will also be dearly missed by her six grandchildren, Jason, Angela, Robin, Julie, Nicole & Carly, and her five beautiful great grandchildren. Carol also leaves behind her sister Genevieve and brother Cleophas.
Carol, affectionately known as Mamma to many, resided at LaSalle Park Retirement for the past seven months where she enjoyed the company of the residents and the extraordinary staff that truly made her feel at home. To those who knew her, Mamma had a feisty personality and was extremely creative. Sewing was one of her greatest talents. Some of her favourite pastimes included doing crossword puzzles, reading James Patterson novels and watching her preferred game show "The Family Feud". She also loved listening to music, especially her son Rob's rendition of "Harvest Moon". Neil Young would be proud. However, her absolute most cherished pastime was spending time with her family. She will be sorely missed by her children, grandchildren and lifetime friends Pierrette and Rita. We can hear our dad's happy fiddle tune greeting his true love home.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to all staff at LaSalle and to Doctors and nurses of 4North at Joseph Brant Hospital who extended us such kindness and compassion in our Mothers' final hours.

Passed away peacefully on Friday, March 12, 2021 at Orillia Soldiers' Memorial Hospital at the age of 78. Beloved son of the late Bess and Llyod King. Cherished husband of Kathleen (Simpson) King for 58 years. Loving father of sons, Tony of Gravenhurst, Kris (Paula) of Bracebridge, Greg (Tracey) of Whitby, and daughter Koreen (Rod) of Maple Ridge, B.C. Adored grandfather of Danielle (Mike), Eric, Kyle, Rachael, Maddie, Hannah, Makenna, Jacob, Dalaney, and Kaden. Great-grandfather of Peyton and was anxiously awaiting his second great-granddaughter Nora. Dear brother of the late Bill of Alliston, Jim (Beth) of Atlin, B.C., Roger (Sandi) of Orillia, and Marilyn of Florida. Much loved by his sister-in-law Jenifer Bartlett of Vancouver. Predeceased by his mother-in-law Gertrude Simpson. Loved by many nieces and nephews and extended family members.
David was a "gentle" man full of love, which he instilled in his family, but "strong" of character and principles. David served in the Royal Canadian Airforce and was a proud 55-year member of the Royal Canadian Legion. He led by example and was respected by all. A proud CNR man, he loved his Northern Hornepayne roots and family. He served his community as Councillor, Deputy Reeve, volunteer fire department, and held hockey and recreational executive positions. After moving back to his home in Muskoka, he was recognized for his contributions for numerous community and charity causes. His life-long love for hockey was displayed throughout his career as a player and the captain of Don's Clippers. He was a former president of the Gravenhurst Minor Hockey Association and was the founder of the Kris King Muskoka Summer Hockey School.
David was a true outdoorsman, who loved nature, fishing, and hunting. He loved their home on the Muskoka River with his dogs. During his life, he was fortunate to have so many special friendships, especially his drop in visits at Kahshe Boat Works. David will be missed and remembered by all who knew him.
In keeping with David's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to Covid-19, a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. The family announces with great sorrow his passing at Maison McCulloch Hospice in Sudbury on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the age of 54 years.
Son of Arnold Sr. and Helen (née Harasym) Arcand. Beloved husband of Jennifer (née O'Sullivan) Arcand. Loving father of Daniel Lamontagne Jr., Hope (Bruno), Cash and Paige Arcand. Cherished brother of Carrie Arcand-Pugliese (Larry). Sadly missed by Jen's parents, Priscilla and Wayne (predeceased) O'Sullivan, siblings, Allyson, Brian and Kelly along with many nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and 'fur babies', Riley, Loco and Jewels. As per Arnold's wishes there will be no visitation or service.
His family and friends will always remember the special attributes of Arnold. His exterior portrayed rough and rugged but his heart showed his true colours. His children loved his beard and being the colours in his rainbow. "Go Rayside!" will truly be missed in the neighborhood rinks. His lifelong friends, Animal (Guy St.Jean), Steve Spadafore and Steve Dow were with him to his departure and surely have many fond memories of their adventures together. CN was Arnold's second home. His 'work family' was important to him with more than 30 years service and achieving locomotive engineer. His brothers and sisters of Teamsters Local 728 are proud of the footprint he has left for them. His only sibling, Carrie, Mom and Dad would truly attest that he was a protector of all close to him. The entire family now have a large void in their lives which can never be replaced.
The love of his life, 'Jenny', was continually there for him and even through their sadness he would always quietly say "Jen stop…I need you to be strong."

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Janice Ann Hughes (née Dines) on March 7, 2021 at the age of 66. She was the beloved wife of Peter, mother of Melissa and Michael, sister of Jim (Helene), and aunt to Barbie and Shona. She is predeceased by her parents, Archie and Florence. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her, including her lifelong friend Linnea Cound (Frank), as well as her many friends, extended family, and her colleagues at RE/MAX Chay in Innisfil.
Janice was born in Sudbury, Ontario and lived her childhood in the nearby railway town of Capreol. She maintained her small-town warmth and the mentality of helping others in need throughout her life – acts that were deeply appreciated by those who knew her.
Janice struck out as an adventurous and ambitious young woman to live in Vancouver, Toronto, and then Windsor, where her love of fashion led her to a career with women's clothing chain Suzy Shier. She wove her own unique thread of creativity through her life, whether she was designing stunning floral arrangements, handmade gifts for her colleagues, or helping clients flawlessly stage their houses. As a real estate agent, she found and excelled in a career that fit her personality – outgoing, bubbly, loving to meet new people and help them. She looked after her family with meticulous care, especially through her great flair for cooking, always remembering to make a special dish of cooked carrots for her "granddog," Turbo.
Jan will be remembered for her immense efforts to rise above the challenges life presented her, and do her utmost to enrich the lives of others. Her impact will not be forgotten; her spirit will live on in her community and in the many fortunate among us who were affected profoundly by her love.

It is with the deepest sadness, and much love, that the family of "Bernard" Paul Camirand announce his peaceful passing on Saturday, 6th of March, at the age of 94 years.
Forever treasured by his beloved wife of 69 years Theresa, children; Brian (Deb), James (Kate), Jennifer (Tineke), sons, Timothy and Joseph both predeceased and daughter-in-law Donalee predeceased, granddaughters; Ashlee (Jason) and Andrea (Bill), and great grandchildren; Ava, Mia, Gianna, and Myles. Fondly remembered by his in-laws and extended family of nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth, and eight siblings; Hubert, Victoria, Leah, Thomas, Margaret, Jeanne Eva, Lenard, and his twin sister Bernadette.
A dedicated family man, a gifted and enthusiastic sportsman with a marvellous mind and a servant's heart, Bernard possessed a love of ancestry and local history, and was an active member of his community and church for over sixty years. His unselfish spirit and love of people will live on through all who were privileged to have known him.

Mr. Barry Greasley of Brantford, Delhi, and formerly of Sudbury, passed away at the Brantford General Hospital on Monday, March 1, 2021 in his 83rd year.
Barry had a larger than life personality that will be missed in so many ways, from his interesting and humorous stories to his genuine love of people, children and animals. In 2001 he became Worshipful Master of the Nickel Lodge No. 427 in Sudbury, Ontario. Barry was very active in Nickel Lodge and the camaraderie he experienced there was a great source of joy in his life. Barry spent many satisfying years working at Falconbridge and made many close friendships there. He was a strong family man who shared his love of nature and the outdoors with his beloved children and grandson. Barry was fond of golfing and loved to paint with watercolours and read poetry that he often committed to memory. Barry had a strong Christian faith with one of his favourite Biblical selections being Corinthians 1 Chapter 13.

Rest In Peace—Beryl Elizabeth Margaret STEPHEN
A loving Mother, Social Worker, Social Justice Advocate, Reiki Master, and Feminist. Beryl was born in 1948 as the 6th of 7 children to Bill and Bella Stephen. She spent her childhood growing up in Capreol and Horn Payne where she loved being in the great outdoors of Northern Ontario. She was a great swimmer and lifeguard at the local beach in Capreol, even saving a man from drowning. After high school she attended McMaster University for Social Work and swam on a synchronized swimming team.
Beryl married Kay McKibbon in 1970 and became not just a Minister's wife but an instant mother to Katherine. They had two more children and lived in a variety of towns across Ontario including Val Therese, Victoria Harbor, Sunderland, Toronto, and Metcalfe. She was a very spiritual person and loved to sing, organize community events, and help others. In 1986 she returned to Hamilton to finish her undergraduate degree at McMaster and went on to earn a Masters of Arts in Social Welfare Policy as a working single mother.
After graduation Beryl created a home sharing program at the V.O.N. working to match seniors with younger people to help the seniors stay in their home as long as possible. A big part of her life was the loving second family and community she found at the Mennonite Congregation at the Welcome Inn. In 2001 she moved to Calgary to be close to her daughters Heather & Dawna. When her Calgary grandchildren were born, she was a big part of their life often taking care of them when they were babies and preschoolers.
One of her happiest days came in 2013 when she was reunited with her beloved son Trevor, whom she had always longed for and along with Trevor came another granddaughter Hanna.
Beryl is survived by her children, Katherine McKibbon (Marcel), Trevor Burgess (Deborah), Heather McKibbon, and Dawna Cutcliffe (Phil). She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Hanna, Josh, Noah, Chloe and Henry and her many nieces and nephews. She is survived by her sisters Sheila Brown and M. Carol Freeman (David), brother Peter R. Stephen (Karen), and sister-in-law Marcia Stephen. Beryl was predeceased by her parents William Peter Stephen and Isabella Stephen (nee Wylie), sister Judith Stephen, granddaughter Lily Cutcliffe, step-son David McKibbon, brothers W. Douglas Stephen and Murray K. Stephen, and her cherished nephew Graham Freeman.

The family wishes to announce the passing of Brian Edward Yeomans at Extendicare-York, on February 21, 2021. He was 66 and persevered the past 2 1/2 years with cancer.
Survived by daughter Chanza, son Jason, grandchildren Samantha and Nicholas; brother Eric (Deborah), uncle to Kirk and Keith (Christine), great uncle to Ally and Bryce. Survived by sister-in-law Lori and brother-in-law Peter (Linda) and daughter Megan. Predeceased by parents David and Betty Yeomans, partners Christine McOrmond and Kim Erskine. Survived and predeceased by many family relatives in the Sudbury, Toronto, and Chatham-Kent areas.. Sadly missed by his two life-long friends Charles Rastall and Graham Toppazzini.
Brian had a varied work history starting out as high school bag boy at the former Dominion store at Plaza 69, and after graduation took on a full time position in many aspects at that store and moved on to the former Dominion store on Notre Dame Ave., and stayed on there after the corporate change to Food Basics and also worked at the Food Basics in Hanmer. Time for change in employment where he worked for several years as a delivery person for Maslack (Falconbridge Rd., location). Then another employment change came when be began working for Curbwalk Construction doing various construction applications that the company specified to perform which meant in town projects and out of town contracts to the far reaches of Northwestern Ontario and to the Eastern regions of Ontario. Unfortunately the Curbwalk Construction owner passed away a few years ago and the company was sold to Terra North Construction where Brian worked there until his retirement three 1/2 years ago.
In his spare during the construction off season he worked at the former Hobby Depot store and participated in town and out of town train shows. He was also a member of the Northern Ontario Railroaders Club (Capreol). Here he spent many hours as a member and volunteer at the Railway Museum, either in performing train layout maintenance or as a guide during special events. When the weather was bright and sunny outside he would be walking the Lake Ramsey boardwalk as much as possible. A few years ago started winter vacationing in either in Florida or Vardero, Cuba.
The family would like to thank the various doctors and their respected nurses for his long and short term care. Special thank you to Doctor: Holub, J. Noble (retired), Shehata, R. Singh (Palliative Management System Clinic). A very heartfelt thank you to the nurses and volunteers (pre-COVID) in the Chemo Suite at the Northeastern Cancer Clinic.
Also, like to thank the nurses and PSW's at the Clarion Centre, a division of St. Joseph's Continuing Care. And finally to the nurses and PSW's Third Floor East, Extendicare-York.
At Brian's request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. Cremation and internment will be in the family plot at Park Lawn Cemetery. Lloyd worked for 35 years for the C.N.R. before retiring in 1996. He loved hunting and fishing and was a self-described "back-yard grease monkey". Dear son of MaryAnne DeStefano and Frank Joseph Mazzuca both predeceased. He is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Lynda Mazzuca (nee Bell), daughter Shelley (John) and their daughters Martina predeceased, Gabriella and Angelica, and son Richard predeceased (Lynn) and their children Alexander and Mila. Also survived by his brother Edward of Vancouver, British Columbia.
Rudy was a very active and community minded man. He had a successful career in business, owning and operating Drago's store in Capreol for over 55 years. Rudy had a real history in playing many sports including ice hockey, floor hockey, bowling, curling, cross country skiing and even down hill skiing. The best was playing fast ball with the Capreol Mazzuca ball team, and winning 8 Ontario championships.

Jayden will be greatly missed by her Papa Harry Nicolls and her Nana Donna Nicolls (predeceased), her Memere Lucille, her grandma Bertha, and her aunts Tammy (Mike), Colleen "Cissy", Tracy (Kyle), Amy, and her uncle Brian (predeceased). Jayden was a loving sister who would do anything to support her family. They always knew they could count on Jayden for anything because she was a best friend and the glue that held them together, Jayden was young but so full of life, she could turn the smallest gathering into a party. People loved Jayden and she loved everyone, often going out of her way to help others. She and her sisters would always joke that Jayden was the favourite child because everyone leaned on her. Jayden's time with us was cut short but no one will forget Jayden's witty attitude and the time and memories they shared with her over the years. Our only hope now is that Jayden is laughing and singing and surrounded by love with our mom, our sister, nana, and uncle. And know you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure, Our family feels broken but one day we will be together again.

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Sean Harrison at his home in Coniston on Monday, January 18, 2021 at the age of 37 years.
Sean was born in Belleville on March 4, 1983. He grew up in Capreol and lived in Sudbury.
After graduating from high school, Sean went on to study at Cambrian College to be an Electrician. He had many jobs, but the job he loved the most was being part of the team at M.I.C. Restaurant. Sean loved to cook and listen to music, usually Pearl Jam, but occasionally you could hear Gordon Lightfoot's music coming from his room. Sean also loved to fish, although, I caught more fish than he did, EVERY SINGLE TIME.
Sean is survived by his father Richard Harrison (Stephanie – predeceased) and his mother Laurie Harrison (nee Sutton) (Don Brosseau). Sean has two beautiful girls who will miss him dearly, Talyssa Ross, age 14, and Emma Harrison, age 13. Sean adored his children so much. Sadly missed by his loving sister Erin Dumontelle (Dan), his niece Hayley Potvin (Brad), his two nephews, Dylan Dumontelle (Kaegan), and Dawson Dumontelle, and his step brother, Marcel Brosseau.

Patricia Grace Ames (nee Morgan). Passed away peacefully on January 18th, 2021 at Health Sciences North, in her 70th year.
She was a dedicated wife to Douglas, her husband and partner of 49 years, as well as mother to Vanessa (predeceased), Emily (Adam) and Nathan (Alicia). She especially treasured her role as Grandma to Lucy, Dylan and Ellie of the Hallway Runners Club. Devoted sister to John, as well as sister-in-law to Stewart (Judy), Barbara (Anne), Brian (Debbie) and Steven (Debbie). She will be sadly missed by her many nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
She was born in Tanganyika to Richard and Doris Morgan (predeceased) and by the age of four had already lived on three continents. This may have accounted for her love of travel and the pursuit of new experiences.
Her life-long love of books inspired her to study English Literature and earn an Honors BA from Laurentian University. This in turn led to her calling as a teacher in the International Baccalaureate program at LoEllen Park Secondary School. Her passion for literature will be greatly missed by all her book club friends, colleagues, and former students.
Her easy laugh and welcoming smile, as well as her enduring kindness to others gained her a loving group of friends of whose support and companionship she was profoundly grateful.

Terry Gryschuk of Brandon MB (formerly of Kenora and Dauphin) passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2020, surrounded by his family after a brief, but courageous battle with cancer.
Terry was born in Sudbury, Ontario on April 3, 1951 to Elsie (Alexandra) and Peter Gryschuk and was the youngest sibling to Peter and Skip. Terry is survived by Patty Gerrard, his wife and best friend of 38 years and their two children, Dustin and Lauren. He is also survived by brothers, Peter of Capreol, and Skip and his wife, Judi, of Steinbach; sister-in-law Suzanne and her husband, Marny, of Courtenay; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Terry was predeceased by his parents Peter (1998) and Elsie (Sept 2020) Gryschuk; sister-in-law, Charlotte Gryschuk (Dec 2020); niece, April Ann; and parents-in-law, Gordon and Yvonne Gerrard.
Our family wishes to express sincere thanks to our friends who have surrounded us with so much kindness, love, and support. We are truly overwhelmed.

In loving Memory of Lorne Andrew Melville who passed away at age 90 on December 14, 2020 at Oakcrossing Long Term Care in London, Ontario. Lorne retired in 1989 after a long career at CN and Via as a Fireman and Locomotive Engineer. Lorne and Anita moved to London, Ontario to be closer to family but Capreol was always their home. Lorne was an active community member as Chairmen of the Arena Board, and was a founding architect of the highly regarded Capreol Midget Tournament.
Lorne worked tirelessly for his family and his community and will be greatly missed. An Internment ceremony at Capreol Cemetery for Lorne and Anita will occur at later date.

Beloved sister to Georgette Denis, Hélène Denis (Bryan) of Sudbury, Nicole Labelle (predeceased), Maurice Denis (Hélène), Rodolphe Denis (Paulette) of Hanmer, Lucien Denis (Anne) of Capreol and Richard Denis (Ghislaine) of Sturgeon Falls. Raymonde will be greatly missed by many great grandkids, nephews, nieces and her two closest sisters in laws Claudette Gascon and Barb Pharand along with her roommate Cecile Routhier who never left her side till the end.
Raymonde was known for her kind heart who often put other people ahead of herself. She will be remembered for her generosity, wit and laughter and her love for family and friends. She was a very courageous woman who loved to entertain with music and let's not forget her beer.
The family would like to thank all the staff at the Elizabeth Center with special thanks to Betty, Manon, Louise, Henriette and Christian for the outstanding care Raymonde received all day till she took her last breath. Cremation has taken place at Ranger's CBS Ltd, in Sudbury. A mass service with her predeceased husband will be held on October 23, 2020 at St-Jacques Church in Hanmer at 1pm with a gathering to follow at Lougheed's in Hanmer from 2:30-5:30 with music and a lunch.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing into the Heavens of Kathleen (Katie) Ellen McQuigge on Wednesday, September 2, 2020 at approximately 8:30 pm with some family by her side.
Katie joins her mother, Brenda Jean McQuigge (predeceased 2016), her father, Allen Ross McQuigge (predeceased 1999), and Kenneth James McQuigge (predeceased 1991). Left to mourn her passing is her sister, Kelly Anne Ouellet (nee McQuigge) and Kathleen's husband Randy Huber. Kathleen fought a short but courageous battle with "vim and vigour"; however, the cancer eventually won the fight. Her children will continue to keep her memory alive by telling stories and carrying on traditions their mother started. They will visit the places she loved and snuggle her grandchildren as she would have done. Paul Lindsay Derkacz and his wife Sara have two children Emma and Ava, Alan Joseph McQuigge and his wife Tina have five sons and a daughter: Westan, Dustin, Colton, Dalton, Teegan and Krista; Meagan Jean Bedard and her fiancée Fred have Braedon, Gabriella, and Jacob and Steven Derkacz has Mayssen, Kaden and Leighton; Kathleen's stepdaughter, Melissa Huber has two sons Liam and Lincoln.
Kathleen's full life including a career with Revenue Canada and as an entrepreneur didn't impede her time spent with all her grandchildren and her memory will be held close in their hearts forever. Kathleen also leaves behind love in the hearts of her nieces, Hillory, Sarah and Chelsea and her nephew Brooks. Her great nieces will cherish the "hot dog slap" and Auntie Katie's joking ways – Harlee, Brooklyn, Brynleigh, Koewyn, Addison, Taya and her great nephew Kristian. Kathleen is survived by many other adoring family members and friends. She has touched many lives.
Following cremation, the family will host a Celebration of Life on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the family residence in Capreol. In addition to the Celebration of Life, the family will host a celebrational dinner at one of Kathleen's favourite places, Rocky's Bar and Grill located at 35 Loonway Road, Capreol, Ontario with a candlelight vigil to follow in the park. The family announces with sorrow his passing at Hornepayne, on the 6th day of September 2020, peacefully in his sleep at the tender age of 93 years. Beloved husband of Marian. Dearest, much loved and respected dad of George (Cheryl) of Port Alberni, British Columbia; Marjorie (Vincent) of Kamloops, BC, Brian (Theresa) of Kearney, Ontaro; and Edith (Dennis) of Sudbury, Ont. He is survived by his older brother Gordon Priest (Betty) of Kingston, Ont.
He will be sadly missed by 11 grandchildren and 13 lively great grandchildren.
Glenn and Marian began their life together in 1952 in Mimico. They moved to Hornepayne where Glenn worked on the CN Railroad where they brought their two small children and added two more. He enjoyed 34 years of retirement. He was active in Municipal Politics and served as councillor and Reeve for a time. He was a Mason, an avid fisherman and had an awesome memory for potholes, fine doughnuts and The Cremation of Sam McGee. He was a wonderful dad, a devoted husband, and he will be missed by many many people.

Born August 28, 1951 in Braunschweig, Germany, and passed away peacefully August 23, 2020 at the age of 68 at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket, ON. Predeceased by son Brandon Krystolovich and mother Gerda Merkel. Survived by loving father Rolf Merkel and husband Leonard Krystolovich. Greatly missed by son Michael (Natasha Collins), step-daughter Natalie (Kirill) Semenov, and step-son Greg Montana. Loved by siblings-in-law Les (Pat), James, Bette (Edward), and Larry. Adored by step-grandchildren Zak and Katie, and fondly remembered by nieces and nephews Matt, Gary (Shawn), Andrea, Jason, Natasha, Alex (Melissa), Brian (Lisa) and Russell (Charlotte).
Sandy was a strong-willed, beautiful, smart, and big-hearted woman. She came to Canada with her parents at a young age and quickly adapted to life in a new country. Sandy worked hard to become an ultrasonographer and diagnostic imaging technician at York Central Hospital while starting a family. She was very compassionate as was shown by her love of animals and never being able to resist helping one in need. Sandy was always very thoughtful and generous, putting the needs of others in front of her own. She was forever fond of fine food, travel and relaxing on the beach. She fought for many years to continue to do the things she loved while enduring a long battle with Multiple Sclerosis.

Born at the family farm home in Hafford, Saskatchewan on April 30th, 1923 to Dmytro and Anne (both predeceased). Raised by Dmytro and Netti (predeceased). She attended Grant Country School and left Saskatchewan to work for the special service in Ottawa. She married Peter in Sudbury in 1943.
Dear sister of Paul (Stella) (both predeceased)(Helen), Mike (predeceased)(Delia), Don (Martha), Joe (predeceased) (Angie), Anne (Victor) (both predeceased) and Gerald (Terry). She will be lovingly remembered by many cousins, nephews and nieces. Special thank you to Della Gauthier, Darlene Nepitt, and Tony Skopyk.
Elsie went back to work in 1962 for a short time at Nepitt's Grocery Store and for two years at Mazzuca's IGA. Then 20 years for Portlance Lumber. She loved to bake, cook and entertain. She loved to dance and never missed a dance or wedding. She baked and iced wedding cakes for many years. She crocheted, knit, did ceramics and painted. She made Ukrainian easter eggs for pastime. She loved to play cards, bingo and the slots. She loved and was devoted to her family and friends. She was devoted to her church—St. Albans was her second home from the time she moved to Capreol.
The family would like to thank ST. Joseph's Villa for all their care and compassion during Elsie's stay there.

As if 2020 hasn't been hard enough, it is with great sadness the Mazzuca and Desjardins family announce the passing of their matriarch, Elaine Audrey Mazzuca, on Friday, August 21st, 2020 at the age of 88.
Elaine was born on April 6th, 1932 to Fred and Martha Desjardins. She was a Garson girl who moved to Capreol with the love of her life, Mario, in 1952 to start a family and career. Together they owned and operated Mazzuca Motors for 30 years. During that time, it flourished from a gas station to a successful business. You always knew you could find Elaine at the bank, religiously, on Tuesdays and Fridays.
You could also find her on the dance floor of every party, sporting a rye and water in her hand. Over the years, she was blessed to travel all over the world with her family and friends. In her senior years, she loved spending time with her siblings, and extended family. She thoroughly enjoyed her trips to the casino with Dellie, her partner in crime. Elaine was an avid Toronto Blue Jays fan through the good and bad times. It was not uncommon to walk into her house and hear her cursing the tv when the Jays were on one of their many losing streaks.
She truly was the life of every party, and in her later years, when arthritis got the best of her, the cane and walker that replaced her dancing shoes were used as props anytime a favourite song of hers came on.
Elaine was the proud mother of 4 daughters: Marilyn (Robert Fitzsimmons), Rosanne (Anthony Piselli), Joanne (Michael Bartoli), and Ann Marie (predeceased, Mike Rusin). She was an amazing Nonie and best friend to Farra, Carly (Nathaniel Oelsner), Krista (Kyra de Lege), Vanessa, and Michaela (Tyler Matthews).
Dear sister of Doris (predeceased, Jack Laking), Donald (Mari predeceased), and Myrna (Gerry Regimbald). Loving sister-in-law to Frank (Rose, both predeceased), Valentino (Violet, both predeceased), Albert (predeceased), Rose, and Delphine (Armand Sbrega predeceased).
Special friend to Ellen and Bruno Blasutti, Linda and Richard Chenier, Jackie Labre, George Boucher, Pauline McKinley, Noella Allaire, and many more.
The family would like to thank her homecare workers, who gave her the ability to remain in her own home as long as she did. We would also like to thank the staff on the 8th floor at Health Sciences North for the wonderful care they provided to Elaine over these past few months. In Elaine's own words, she was "treated like a Queen".
2020 has not been the best year for our family. Covid made her passing that much more difficult as many of us were not able to physically visit her in the hospital. We are extremely fortunate for the time we did have with her, and we are at peace knowing she is reunited with Mario and her darling Ann Marie.

Rest In Peace—Hector PROULX (updated)
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hector Proulx at the age of 89, on January 15th, 2020 at Guelph General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Aurore Proulx. Predeceased by sisters Lucille, Carmen and Isabelle and his brother Gerald. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. He retired from CN Rail in 1989 after 42 years of service. This left him more time to enjoy what he loved best, being out in nature. There were lots of stories about blue berry picking and cutting wood with his friend Guy Gagnon.
We know he is smiling now as he sits in a field of blue picking blueberries that were, as he used to say, "As big as your thumb."
Thank you to the staff and residents of Riverside Glen for the care and friendship you showed him during his time in Guelph. Thanks to the paramedics, nurses and doctors of Guelph General Hospital for their compassion and words of comfort.
A memorial service will be held at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 4506 Michelle Dr., Hanmer on Saturday, September 19th, 2020 at 1:30pm. Friends may gather after 1pm Saturday followed by the interment in the Capreol Cemetery.

The family announces with great sadness the passing of Richard Mazzuca at Maison McCulloch Hospice, Thursday, August 20, 2020 at the age of 52 years. He leaves behind his wife Lynn and children Alexander and Mila.
Richard was the son of Rudy and Lynda Mazzuca, and brother to Shelly Mazzuca-Rumball (John). He leaves behind Gisèle and Gord Nichol, Rhéal and Diane Leblanc, Pierre (Julie-Ann) Leblanc, Eileen (Ollie) Gorman, Jennifer Nichol, Andrea (Bud) Dzuirban, and Cindy Mathieu as well as his nieces and nephews.
During Richard's palliative care, Lynn, Alexander and Mila were blessed to be part of the Maison McCulloch Hospice family. We will always be grateful for this.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon Louise Brazeau on July 31, 2020. She passed away in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her family.
Predeceased by her husband, Gilles Brazeau. Loving mother of Rodney Brazeau (Tiffany) and Renée Ross (Jamie), stepmother to Angela Briere (Mike) and Grandmother to Andrew, Matthew, Gabriel, Connor, Parker, and Mason. Special aunt to Michael (Ginny) and Kelly (Sam) as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Sharon loved to spend time with her family and cherished her church, Trinity United in Capreol. She will greatly miss her outings to the Sudbury Theatre Centre with her special Capreol girls and fun outings with many friends.
In keeping with Sharon's wishes, there will be no service or visitation. A celebration of life will take place at a later date. Special Thanks to our amazing nurses from Bayshore, especially Kelly Adams. Sharon received excellent care from Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner Daniele Drouin and her team at Maison McCulloch Hospice.

Train, Neil, Irving, "Bud", age 77, formerly of Capreol, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2020 in Hamilton Ontario. He was born March 28, 1943, in Capreol, Ontario to Neil and Barbara (Stoltz ) Train. Bud will be lovingly remembered by his sister Patricia (Jack) Desrochers, William (Katy), John (Mena), Robert (Ida), David, and John Jr., and many many nieces and nephews.
Bud spent his early years in Capreol, working in the Capreol Hotel along side his father/owner. The latter part of his working life was spent in Hamilton where he worked for many years until retirement from St. Peter's Hospital.
Bud lived a simple but very happy life. He had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep, positive way. He always took the time to listen and help others in any way he could. He touched so many people's lives in so many ways with his kind heart.
Bud will be deeply missed by all his family and many friends.

Bill worked for Canadian National Railway for 42 years before retiring to Manitoulin Island. Bill enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time in the bush. It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Paul Lavigueur on Wednesday, June 3, 2020.
Beloved husband of Linda Lavigueur (McCormick) predeceased. Loving father to Dawn (Mark Tocholke) and Greg (Theresa Bohan). Paul was cherished by his grandchildren Amanda, Meghan, Kendall, Julia, and Benson. Dear son of Philias and Dorothy Lavigueur both predeceased and brother to Teresa McCrae (Jim) and Brian (predeceased).
Paul retired from the Power Department at INCO to live at his residence at the family camp with Linda. He enjoyed a lifetime of camping and fishing. Paul volunteered at the Capreol Legion Branch 179. He was looking forward to the next fish fry. Paul was always willing to help anyone as he was a Jack of all Trades. He will be missed by his family, friends, and his furry companion Bo.

Beloved wife of the late Percy Watters, loving mother of Leona Greene (Vander predeceased), Romana and Jack Boyd (both predeceased), Marlene Paul (Bruce predeceased), Linda Ross (Leo), Susan Lammi (Fred), Stanley Watters (predeceased), Jim Watters (Ruth), Raymond Watters (predeceased)(Marion), Steve Watters (Janis), also predeceased by her brother Art Skinner (Florence) and sisters Marg Orser (Jim) and Betty Graham (Lyle).
Mom was born in York Twp. Toronto in 1917. There she met and married Dad in 1938, they moved to Norman Twp in 1944.
A special thank you to the P.S.W.s, Nurses and all who helped in caring for Mom at Pioneer Manor. We know her wit, her sense of humor, her determination and her appearance kept all of you on your toes and we thank you for your patience and understanding. Sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Rest In Peace—Joseph Robert Samuel "Bobby" GELINAS
It is with profound sadness that we say goodbye to Bobby, who fought as hard as he could against severe health issues over the last few years until his body had enough. He was in his 75th year. A loving brother, uncle and brother-in-law, he was pre-deceased by his mother Kathleen and his father Maurice and siblings Joe, Eddy and Carol-Ann. Loving brother to sisters Glenda, Helen, Sandra, Susan and brother Norm.
Being a young gay man in the 70s and early 80s wasn't an easy life but as a true testament to his character, he refused to hide who he was. He took action to live the life he wanted and to live the life he was supposed to live. He was an inspiration to many. Bobby lived big and loved big no matter the consequences. He was a proud uncle who held his 26 nieces and nephews, as well as his great and great-great nieces and nephews, close to his heart. He loved to tease them and seemed to find great pleasure in getting them into trouble with their parents. He was so proud to hear about their successes and accomplishments. He never failed to make them laugh and always made them feel they were special to him. Bobby loved disco, loved dancing and loved to party – cranking up the tunes on one of his prized stereos, not only listening to but singing along with his favorite divas – Céline, Babs, and Patsy, to name a few.
Although born and raised in the small CN town of Capreol, he loved to travel and he lived in sunny hot places like Hawaii and San Diego where he worked as a bartender before settling in Vancouver. He had a love for the west and bought a house in Saskatchewan, where he lived until his health and missing his family brought him to St. Luke's Independent Living Retirement Home in Cambridge.
Bobby will be remembered for always trying to make a person feel good with a compliment or a kind deed; his non-stop chatter; his teasing, joking and deep laughter; his phone calls and never-ending voicemails with Gloria Gaynor's "I will Survive" and a chirping bird in the background; his 4 sugar, 3 cream McDonald's coffees; and his passion for bees, insects, butterflies and birds. Dear sister Judy Rasevych (nee Dore) and Predeceased by her siblings Linus, Isabelle Levina and Joey. Cherished grandmother of Aleah. Jorden. Jessica, Chris, Tasha, Calvin, Tiffany, Shane, Dustyn, Kayla, Austin, Braydon, Willow, Faith, Ethan, Kaylee, Justin, Bradley, Matthew, Isaiah, Alissa, Kyarah, Malachi. She had a true passion for religion and loved helping those in need with a prayer. She loved her family. There was a lot of love in our mom's life. Even though she is gone now, we know that her legacy will live in our hearts forever. Her life was a living example of a Bible verse Ephesians 4:32 "And be kind and compassionate to one another, forgive one another, just as God also forgave you in Christ."
Due to unforeseen circumstances we cannot have a funeral. We will have a celebration of life at a later date. Special Thanks to our cousins Tammy and Deacon Micheal Robinson for the live Facebook church service on April 3, 2020. She would have loved it. Our mother Elizabeth will be missed by many. Rest In Peace—James Conrad (Jim/Duke) WEBSTER
It is with profound sadness our family shares the passing of James "Jim/Duke" Webster suddenly at his home in Capreol on May 1, 2020. Jim was only 79, but has joined his beloved Christine Webster (predeceased 2004), his best friend and wife of 43 years.
Jim was a supportive and loving husband, father, and grandfather who adored his family and the Toronto Maple Leafs equally. There may have been the odd day when the scales tipped in the Leaf's favour. Jim enjoyed engaging in conversations with friends and neighbours and always had a story to share. He took great pride in his home and lawn where the grass was manicured with a level and scissors. He looked forward to his adventures and excursions with family and could spend hours shopping with grandkids. He was an avid dancer with moves for days and a singing voice that entertained the family. Jim was fortunate to have found love and life with Carolyn Fortin for the last 12 years, even during hockey season.
Jim was born in Kirkland Lake, Ontario October 9, 1940 son of James and Rita, brother to Daniel and Jackie (predeceased). He married Christine Olive Yaworski, the love of his life, in Kirkland Lake in 1960 and the journey began. His career involved policing and the gas industry where he retired from in 1999. His family will be eternally grateful for his legacy of love include his four children Lorrie (Paul) Sabourin, Wendi (Dale) MacCormack, Lisa (Robert) Smith, and Jamie (Amanda); his grandchildren Jennifer (Gilles) Paul, Amanda (Brenton) Dukeshire, Jesse (Natalie) Hawrelluk, Joel (Cassy) Hawrelluk, Joshua (Natalie) Webster, Kylee (Ken) MacCormack, and Cassidy Smith; and his great grandchildren Emma, Maxine, Benjamin, Jaxen, Taryn, Tanner, Robyn, Mackena, Mya, Cameron, Abel, Luca, Nova, Nathan, Natalia, Noah, Nolan and baby Hawrelluk arriving in June.
Although his passing brings a tremendous loss for all, we find comfort and solace in his reuniting with our Mom and will be laid to rest with her in Kirkland Lake. We share with you the message that hangs in his kitchen-'Live Well, Laugh Often, and Love Much' especially in these challenging times. There will be a celebration of life at a later date. In Loving Memory of Barbara Anne Orr (nee Fraser) who passed away peacefully at the Mindemoya Hospital with her husband at her side on Tuesday, April 21, 2020 at the age of 84.
Beloved wife of 62 years to Bill Orr. Loving mother of Janice (Mark), Billy (Anita), David (predeceased), and Don (Adeline). Cherished grandmother of Karly, Riley, and Haley. Predeceased by her parents Rolo Fraser and Elizabeth Fraser (nee Barr). Will be missed by her siblings: Ruth (predeceased), Don (predeceased), and Caroline. Barb will be missed by many nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
Barb was born on the Wilson farm in Spring Bay. She taught Grades 1 through 8 in a one-room schoolhouse in Poplar in 1955 when she was only 19 years old. Barb was always a very generous and caring teacher. She also taught in Capreol. She later moved to Hornepayne where she met the love of her life, Bill. They were married in July of 1957. When she moved back to Manitoulin she became very involved in the history of Central Manitolin. She served in the Historical Society where she was instrumental in telling the stories of some of the old buildings. She also taught Sunday School at the Mindemoya Missionary church where she won an award. She was also a member of the Horticultural Society and served as secretary of the Seniors' Club. In her spare time she loved flowers, gardening, and playing the piano. When she was growing up she would play the piano everyday with her father. Barb's favourite Psalm was Psalm 91.
A private service was held at Island Funeral Home on Friday, April 24, 2020 at 11am with Pastor Ray Kloetstra officiating. Burial followed in the Mindemoya Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Mindemoya Hospital Auxiliary or to the Mindemoya Missionary Church.

Rest In Peace—Rhoda LE CAPPELAIN
Rhoda Le Cappelain passed away peacefully April 8, 2020 at Pine Grove Care Centre in Kamloops BC. She was predeceased by her husband Albert and lovingly remembered by her son, Brian Le Cappelain, daughter-in law, Karen, and grandchildren, David & Cheri, as well as nieces and nephews.
Rhoda was born in 1925 in Hornepayne. She lived in Capreol from early 1950's till 1978 when Lowphos Ore mine closed .While in Capreol she was active as a bookkeeper for a number local businesses and St Albans Parish. Rhoda and Albert moved to Logan Lake in 1978 where Albert worked at Lornex Mine (Now Highland Valley Copper). She maintained contact with many friends from Capreol .
She continued her community work in Logan Lake with Search & Rescue and was the Area co-ordinator for the Province of BC Emergency program. She was also appointed a Canon in the Anglican Church where she was very active until a stroke required her to move into long term care.
Memorial services are postponed due to the current Covid 19 issues.

Cherished grandfather of Elliott, Issic, Paul (Priscilla), Shannon (Jeremy VanDenbroek), Russell, Avery and Savannah. John started his railroad career as a Hostler in Capreol then went to Hornepayne to become a Locomotive Engineer. He moved back to Capreol as an engineer for 38 years, retiring in 1989. John enjoyed fishing, boating, gardening and spending time at their summer home on Manitoulin Island and his beloved homestead in Brent (Cedar Lake).

It is with heavy hearts we announcing the passing of John "Satch" Colasimone who passed away peacefully at home on April 11th at the age of 65.
John was born on October 20th, in Sudbury to Henry and Thelma Colasimone (predeceased). John is survived by his wife, Christine, and children Johnny (Kali) and Catherine (Mitch).
Loving brother of Audrey (predeceased), Norm (Joyce) Colasimone, Arlene (Jim) McBride, Raymond (Susie) Colasimone, Beverley (Barry) MacDonald, Rhonda (Robert) Greco, June (Frank) Healy, Perry Colasimone and Bernice Colasimone (Danny). He will be missed by his many nieces and nephews and many close friends like Al, Doc, Huck, and Judi.
He enjoyed a lifelong career at Canadian National Railway, where he made many long-lasting friendships, and worked many different roles ultimately retiring as a Train Master. He was very passionate about the town of Capreol where he served on the local council, spearheaded the Save the Rail campaign, sat on the Capreol CAN Committee, and co-founded the Capreol Daycare. Despite all of these roles, his favorite position was being the Assitant Super Attendant of Ella Lake. Ella lake was his favorite place, spending all his summers on the Hanky Panky Sandpan and where he created the Back 40 for all of us to enjoy amazing music and create memories to last a lifetime. We know he will forever be watching all the concerts at the Back 40 with us.
There will be a celebration of life at a later date when we can all get come together in his memory.

Peacefully passed away on Monday March 9, 2020 at the age of 58. Shelley joins her spouse and partner of 35 years, Rod Albert who predeceased her on March 2, 2020. Sadly missed by her siblings Brenda Carey, Debbie Lynch and Brent Page.
Shelley was born in Cochrane, Ontario on May 26, 1961, the youngest of four children. Raised and educated in Capreol, Shelley was not only a gifted student, but an all-around athlete excelling in basketball, cross-country running, badminton, tennis, golf and softball. Her love and passion for sports was only exceeded by her life-long love of learning. After graduating from the University of Toronto with a Master's Degree in English, Shelley became an English secondary school teacher in 1985. Her passion for teaching and the quality of public education led to her early involvement with the Ontario Secondary School Teacher's Federation in her Durham local. Local leadership led to provincial leadership and in 2010, Shelley was hired by OSSTF as an Executive Assistant serving the needs of members across Ontario. Shelley worked primarily in the area of collective bargaining where she was a strong and articulate advocate for members. She proudly served her Union for almost 10 years.
Shelley maintained a life-long commitment to fitness, especially long-distance running. She loved hiking and working out. Her enjoyment of hiking in the Rockies and on Manitoulin Island led to her love of Nature and to a profound commitment to the Nature Conservancy of Canada. Shelley enjoyed her Manitoulin property more than anything else for the last 25 years. If you were her friend it meant that you were invited to THE COTTAGE, a rare privilege!
The Nature Conservancy of Canada is working to conserve another tract of land on Manitoulin Island, which ultimately will include the Shelley Page Turtle Trail in honour of Shelley's passion for nature and the island. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Hector Proulx at the age of 89, on January 15th, 2020 at Guelph General Hospital.
He was predeceased by his parents Henry and Aurore Proulx. Predeceased by sisters Lucille, Carmen and Isabelle and brother Gerald.
Survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
He retired from CN Rail in 1989 after 42 years of service. This left him more time to enjoy what he loved best, being out in nature. There were lots of stories about blueberry picking and cutting wood with his friend Guy Gagnon.
We know he is smiling now as he sits in a field of blue picking blueberries that were, as he used to say, "As big as your thumb."
Thank you to the staff and residents of Riverside Glen for the care and friendship you showed him during his time in Guelph.
Thanks to the paramedics, nurses and doctors of Guelph General Hospital for their compassion and words of comfort.
A memorial service and interment will take place in Capreol, Ontario with the date to be announced later.

In loving memory of Bruce Gamble who passed away, surrounded by his loving family, at Maison McCulloch Hospice, Wednesday, February 5th, 2020, at the age of 83 years.
Son of the late Wilfred and the late Harriet (née Hennessy) Gamble. He is now reunited with his beloved wife and dancing partner of 63 years Eliane Gamble (née Prévost) predeceased on September 23rd, 2019. Proud father of two caring daughters that were at his side until the end, Marlene Côté (Victor Wright) of Cochrane and Lorraine Beadman of Capreol. His two grandsons that he both called ''Sport'', Ryan Heatherington of Smooth Rock Falls and Brad Beadman (Ellen Somers) of Halifax, NS., and his granddaughter that he called ''Sunshine'', who held his hand until his passing, Kristy Beadman (Camille Lemieux) of Capreol will forever cherish fond memories of him. He was also blessed with great-grand-children Rylan, Jérémie, Alexandre, and Jonah. Beloved brother of Mary Walker (late Bill) of North Bay. He will be missed by his sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, friends, and by his dog Daisy.
Bruce was a passionate trucker and enjoyed the road. He loved to tell stories, jokes, and reminisce of his many adventures. In his younger days, he flew his Cessna plane discovering Cochrane from an aerial view. He loved dancing the night away with his beautiful soulmate Eliane. An avid outdoorsman and fisherman, he loved spending time on Ryan's Lake. He also enjoyed camping with his family at René Brunelle Provincial Park in Moonbeam. He will be remembered for his willingness to help others and for his great sense of humor. He loved gardening and watching the hockey game on television and at the arena.
The family would like to extend their gratitude to the caring staff at Maison McCulloch Hospice for their dedication and love expressed to Bruce.

Monday, March 4th, 1957 – Wednesday, January 8th, 2020
Let us tell you a story about a true warrior.
In 2003, our beloved Ann Marie Mazzuca was told she had brain and lung cancer, and was given 9 months to live. Against insurmountable odds, she beat cancer. Unfortunately, cancer had her number and would return again 3 more times. She was often regarded as an inspiration to many other people she met at the cancer centre, who were also fighting the big fight. After an on and off battle over 17 years, she is finally at peace, and heaven gained another angel on January 8th, 2020.
Annie grew up in Capreol, and shared her father's love of cars. She and her husband Mike owned and operated Western Valley Auto Sales for 16 years before entering retirement. She loved long car rides, poutine, cheesecake, and a fresh car wash. She especially enjoyed travelling all over North America with her sweetheart, Mike, and her trips to Panama City with Anthony and Rosanne.
She is survived by her mother, Elaine, and predeceased in 2000 by her father Mario. She leaves behind her husband Mike, who never left her side, and her wonderful stepchildren, Andrea (Sheldon Chamberlain) and Jarrett Rusin. She will be dearly missed by her sisters Marilyn (Bob Fitzsimmons), Rosanne (Anthony Piselli), and Joanne (Mike Bartoli), as well as her nieces Farra, Carly (Nathaniel Oelsner), Krista (Kyra de Lege), Vanessa, and Michaela (Tyler Matthews). She will always be remembered as "granny Annie" to her step-grandchildren, Hayden and Owen. Special sister-in-law to Karen Selk (Tim). She will be missed by the Mazzuca, Desjardins, and Rusin families, as well as her many friends. Annie and Mike cherished the time spent with their dear friends Laurie and Wayne, Cheryl and Rick, and Diane and Jeff.
A special thank you to Tina Carriere for the compassion she showed to Annie and our family during Annie's hardest moments. The family would also like to thank Dr. Pablo Cano for your dedication to Annie over all these years.
Never once during any of her battles with cancer did she ever want sympathy or people feeling sorry for her. She was the strongest person we've ever known, and we will miss her very much. Although she was taken far too soon, we know she put up one hell of a fight, right up until the very end. We know she's watching over us, saying "Quit crying and put a smile on your face," and that's exactly what we will try to do.

It is with sorrow the family announces the passing of Sylvia Nicole St George at the age of 38 years. She will be deeply missed by her father Raymond St Georges (Carol), mother Debra-Ann St George (née Croteau) and her big brother Shannon St George (Stephanie). Sylvia will forever be remembered by her beautiful daughter Samantha Sturgeon. She is reunited with her Papa and Nanny, Fred and Colleen Croteau. Lovingly remembered by her Nanny and Pepère Laurette and Roger Carriere. She will never be forgotten by her stepsisters, their husbands, and her large array of nieces and nephews. Sylvie will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by many Aunts, Uncles and many cousins.
Sylvia Nicole St George was born on March 9th, 1981. From the time she was born she was fierce and wild. Sylvie was spirited, beautiful and loyal to her friends and family. She loved to drive with her windows down and her music up. As the saying goes, she danced like no one was watching, and frankly, she wouldn't have given a damn even if they were. She lived life "fast fast" with fun always in the cards. Sylvie or "Feachie Peachie" as Papa Croteau called her, loved being outside. She loved camping, canoeing and spent countless peaceful hours at Paradise Lake in Capreol.
She adored her daughter Samantha, who will keep a part of Sylvie with all of us. Sylvie and her brother Shannon had a strong bond from the time they were little, and held each other both up and accountable through all the years they were given with each other. Sylvia battled bravely against depression for much of her time here, but her life deserves to be remembered by the beauty, the artistic spirit and the spontaneity that those 38 years brought her and those around her. She was a wonderful daughter, a proud mother, a loving sister and a loyal friend.

Rest In Peace—Gregory 'Gregg' J. VAILLANCOURT
Sadly Gregg passed away on Saturday, December 14, 2019 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Capreol, Gregg was the son of Edgar (Tates) and Lil (predeceased) and was the second of four boys. He will be dearly missed by brothers Don (Evelyn), Bob (predeceased) (Laurie), Allan; nieces and nephew Leigh Ann, Michael V and Chantal, and loved one Michael M, as well as so many other friends and family members near and far.
Gregg was a CN rail man starting in Capreol and made many stints to the south and north building and repairing the tracks on 'his machine'.
Gregory James – or "Leggs" to his friends – liked to read a good book, cook up great meals, go on his annual fishing trip with Don and dear friends Tony, Tom and others over the years; and to be with his brothers and his 'sis' E. A good part of Gregg's life centred around the Legion spending tons of hours with his best friend 'Cracksie' (predeceased), helping with events, playing shuffleboard or organizing the hockey pool and sharing a few cold ones with his good friends Phil, Frank, Gerry and many others. Then there was his sweet Scarlett, you would often see him with Scarlett on his lap as she looked out the window of the car.
Very special thanks to Dr. Singh and resident Megan; JP, Stacey, Kelly and Christine who so genuinely cared about him and so kindly helped us.
In keeping with Gregg's wishes, cremation has taken place.

May 26, 1952 – December 9, 2019
A crack opened in our world yesterday, and it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our brother and friend, Neil David Marquis, following a courageous battle with cancer.
Neil, the son of Nelson and Jean Marquis (predeceased), was born in Capreol, Ontario. The second of seven children, Neil recalled recently how growing up he felt he was the luckiest of children for living in such a loving family. He remembered lying in bed at night listening to his parents plan their summer camping trips – a summer ritual, during which the tent trailer would be loaded and the children would all tumble into and out of the car, as the family made its way across the continent.
Neil lived his life to the fullest; he played hockey for the Sudbury Wolves, excelled in tennis, and loved strolling the warm beaches of Corfu. He was a walking encyclopaedia of music and regaled his nieces and nephews with his knowledge.
When Neil moved to Moncton, NB, he met his wife, Karen Trites (predeceased) and eventually found his true calling working with amateur theatre in Kentville, NS. Living in Toronto over the past few years, Neil developed close friendships with his neighbours. When they visited Neil in the hospital during his treatments, they referred to each other as "brother", and that is what Neil was – a loving and kind brother.
Neil will be sorely missed by his sister, MaryJane (Chet) of Killarney, Ont., sister, Patti of Wasaga Beach, Ont., Phil (Debra) of Muscat, Oman, Tom (Rose) of Oakville, Ont., Teresa of Ottawa, Ont., and Tony (Jennifer) of Barrie, Ont. His many nieces and nephews will always remember Neil for his gentle nature and sweet smile. He taught us all to look at things and people with the sensitivity they deserved.
A Visitation will take place at ROSAR-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 467 Sherbourne Street, Toronto, on Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Shambhala Meditation Centre of Toronto, Suite 300, 670 Bloor Street West, Toronto, beginning at 1 p.m. Cremation to take place. She leaves behind her loving husband of 45 years, Glenn Taylor of Capreol. Loving mother to Amanda (Riley) McDade, and proud granny to Jacob McDade, of Saint-Bruno, QC.
Loving daughter of Geraldine and Thomas McDonald (predeceased); raised by loving aunt Gertrude LeCain and cousin Jim LeCain (both predeceased).
Loving sister to Trudy (Eddie) Doran, Linda McQueen, Sandra (Wesley McLean predeceased) Patsy Toderian(predeceased), Gary McDonald (predeceased), Tommy (Lucille predeceased) McDonald, Teddy Kathleen (predeceased) Timmy McDonald, and Lorne (Carol) McDonald, all of Thunder Bay. Jim (Denise)LeCain of Capreol, Carol (Ian) Tissington, and Jane Kelly(predeceased). Sister-in-law to Garth (Diane) Taylor, Gayle (Peter) Perry (predeceased), and Grant Taylor (predeceased). Wendy will be greatly missed by many more family members and friends.
Wendy was a kind, caring, and thoughtful person, who was always there for her family and friends. She always put the needs of those she loved ahead of her own. She most enjoyed spending time with her grandson Jacob, who was the light of her life and who would make her eyes sparkle whenever she saw him or heard his voice. She also enjoyed spending time with her husband, reading a good book, and sending random witty messages to her daughter that made her smile. She will be the star that shines bright on us always.

Don passed away peacefully on Sunday November 17, 2019 at the Hornepayne Community Hospital. He is survived by his wife Margy and stepdaughter Madison (partner Erica). Don will be sadly missed by his beloved canine companion Ripley who was always by his side. Don is predeceased by his father Claude Gascon and is the loving son of Anne Gascon (friend Larry), brothers Clyde (wife Lisa) and Rob (wife Grace). Don was dearly loved by his entire family and will be missed immensely by all.
Don loved his career with CN Rail and made many lifelong friendships with coworkers in various departments. Don was an avid fisherman, enjoyed hunting, camping, playing guitar, horseshoes, cheering for the Habs and butter tarts. Don's sense of humour was second to none. He was a playful, loving and generous man who wanted everyone around him to have a good time.
The family is thankful to the staffs of the medical facilities where Don received treatment and care. We also express our gratitude to the communities of Hornepayne and Capreol for your thoughtfulness and support…we will always remember your kindness.
Don's wonderful spirit, joy and love for life will never be forgotten. A memorial service will take place in Capreol at a later date. Cherished grandmother to Perry (wife Debbie), Connie (husband Reg Simpson), Robbie (wife Jane), Aaron (wife Laurie), and Cary (wife Jen), and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Jenny was a housewife and enjoyed cooking and baking for the many dinners and suppers where family gatherings occurred. She always had a kiss, a smile, and a hug for everyone.

Daughter of the late Aldège and the late Germaine (née Hotte) Prévost. Beloved wife and dancing partner of 63 years to Bruce Gamble. She was a loving and caring mother to her two daughters Marlene Côté (Victor Wright) of Cochrane and Lorraine Beadman of Capreol. She cherished every moment spent with her wonderful grandchildren Ryan Heatherington of Smooth Rock Falls, Kristy Beadman (Camille Lemieux) of Sudbury, and Brad Beadman (Ellen Somers) of Halifax, NS. She was also blessed with great-grand-children Rylan (mother Melonie Loubert), Alexandre, Jérémie, and Jonah who will forever keep fond memories of her. Beloved sister of Marcel Prévost (late Ruth) of Peterborough, Lisette Szack (late John), Denyse Drisdale, and Gilbert Prévost all of Kapuskasing, Brenda Carradus (late Robert) of Ottawa, and Sheila Prévost (friend Gerry Poulin) of Colborne. Predeceased by her siblings Roland Prévost (Ethel of Cochrane), Maurice Prévost (late Élise), Albert, and Gene. She will be missed by her dog Daisy.
Eliane had a zest for life and enjoyed playing cards, shopping, gardening, and feeding the hummingbirds and chipmunks in her backyard. She loved camping, especially with family at René Brunelle Provincial Park in Moonbeam. In her younger days, she enjoyed bowling, cross country skiing and participated at many Easter Seal Snowarama in Cochrane. She loved to dress up and enjoyed dancing the night away with her favorite dance partner, Bruce.
She will be remembered by all for her outstanding cooking and baking skills, especially her homemade buns. Everything she made from her kitchen was made with love and with outmost dedication to her family.

With heavy hearts we share the sorrow of the sudden passing of William Richard Hoag. He was a devoted family man always willing to help anyone and everyone. The love of his life was his family and especially his grandchildren.
He battled many challenges with his illness over the years and always won until now. He never lived his life with his illness but always in spite of his illness.
Survived by his wife Kathy, daughter Laurie (Robin), son Trevor (Stephanie), sister Brenda (Jim), brother Neil (Sheila), Mother and Father in Law Hector and Mary Beth Leduc, brothers-in-law James (Lisa) and Bill Leduc. A wonderful Grandpa to Timothy, Jesse, Sophie, and Tessa. Special uncle to Jade, Chelsea, Tyler, Ryan, Grant, Kirk, Mallory, and Russell. He will be missed on Bright Lake (Iron Bridge) riding around on his scooter checking out the boat launch, fishing on the pontoon boat and visiting with neighbours.
Richard attended the Parkinson's Exercise group twice a week and had many, many friends there. He was a man who never gave up. His sense of humour carried him through his challenges. He had such a strong will to live and would try to work at something every day of his life. He cherished being alive. He will be sadly missed in a lot of ways. HE WAS OUR HERO!

Sara (Sally) Ida Jean Wood (Bridge), age 73, transported suddenly from her earthly to heavenly home on Tuesday, August 27, 2019.
Sally was born December 21, 1945 in Sudbury to Percy (Locomotive engineer) and Eileen Bridge. Predeceased by husband Charles (Chuck) Wood. She worked at the CPR Telegraph office in Sudbury for many years, transferring to Toronto CN/CP Telecommunications as a Telegraph Operator. Sally lived life to the fullest. She was an animal lover, advocate for others, with us through every crisis, determined and vocal as required, kind hearted and feisty to the end. Sally's favorite things were the simple pleasures of life, trees, flowers, birds, family and friends at The Carriage House. Sally is survived by her brother, Wesley (Sue) Bridge, sisters Irene (Gerts) Lemanis, Janet (Bill) Tulloch, special cousins Ardell (Russell) Paul and Ruth (Bill) Dottin and many more wonderful cousins. Beloved husband of Marilyn Chenier, dearest father of Beverly Allen (Jody) and Melissa Chenier (Noah) and precious grandfather of Braeden, Mystie, Curtis, Nathan, Nicholas, and Sarah. He is survived by his mother Nada Chenier; his eleven siblings Jackie Doucet (Hector), Elaine Sheedy (Rae), Robert Chenier (Jean), Lorraine Psarras (Panos), Laurent Chenier (Francine), Paul Chenier (Fran), Paulette Ellis (Peter), Daniel Chenier (Jessica), Joanne Chenier, Rosanne Portelance (Hector), Carmen Pavlakos (Nick); his sister-in-laws Judy Kilby & Brenda Mercer (Kevin) as well as many nieces & nephews and countless friends. He was predeceased by his father Lucien Chenier, his father-in-law Gordon Mercer, his mother-in-law Elsie Mercer, his brother-in-law Wayne Mercer and his sister-in-law Linda Mercer.
Moe was born and raised in Hanmer, Ontario, hired on the Canadian National Railway in 1972, married his cherished wife in 1973, following a move to Hornepayne in 1985 where he raised his family. Moe was a kind, caring, selfless man who cherished and loved his family unconditionally. He was a devoted Montreal Canadiens fan, loved Rock n' Roll, especially "The Beatles", loved fishing and treasured many great moments at Nagagamisis. He spent many hours reading books, doing crossword puzzles and undertaking woodworking projects. Moe prepared many meals over the years; he was a good cook – the best cook, who made exceptional gravy! Moe loved and carried Jesus in his heart. It gives us comfort knowing he will be in Jesus' arms for eternity.

Amy was born in 1929 to Victor & Amy (Pilon) Aubin – predeceased 1952 & 1929 respectively. Survived by sisters Valerie and Adele in Manhattan Beach, California, and predeceased by brothers Raoul and Conrad, and sisters Sylvia Cantwell, Annette Black, and Victorienne Jutras. Amy was raised by her loving parents, James and Virginia (Aubin) Brady, who both predeceased her in 1969.
She married her loving husband, Jack Briscoe, in 1951. They had 4 wonderful sons, Douglas (Sylvia), Hilary (Joan), Lawrence (Meredith), and William (Gail). These four sons gave Amy four much-loved granddaughters – Heather (predeceased in 1974), Jaime, Jodi, and Amy, and a great-grandchildren, Payton Rose, Cayden, Bowen, Carter and Brady. Jack passed away in 1969. Amy married her beloved husband, Douglas Amiro, in 1976 and then had four stepchildren, Brian (wife Leslie), Sandra Furlonger, Randall (wife Karen), and Joel (wife Sandra). Douglas passed away in 1996. She is also survived by 16 step-grandchildren: Christopher, Elishia, David, Ryan, Joseph, Tyreece, Thomas, Paige, Aaron, Gemma, Stacy, Jack, Randy, Vanessa, Sarah, and Courtney, as well as many step-great- grandchildren.
Amy enjoyed gardening, genealogy, and playing cards, but most of all she loved her family. The would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to the staff at Elizabeth Centre for the wonderful supportive given to Amy and her family over the last 5 years, thank you.

Born and raised in Cobalt, Ontario, she graduated from nursing and worked at St. Joseph hospital in Toronto and Misericordia Hospital in Haileybury. She also provided relief work in Fraserdale, Ontario, a small Ontario Hydro community.
Barb and Richard were married for 50 years. His employment took them to 7 locations across the province throughout the years and finally taking up residence in Capreol, Ontario since 1975.
She was a proud homemaker always decorating her home; she was a wonderful baker and an avid shopper. The shining light of her life was her grandchildren. It must be said that she cherished the family pets. Her highlight vacation was in Orlando, Florida where all of the family gathered to celebrate and enjoy the gifts of life.

Donna is survived by her loving husband Garth of 51 years, proud mother to Jason (Heather Posadowski) and Mia (Ryan Degazio). Devoted Nana to Nathan, Tori, Bauer and Ellie.
Donna will be deeply missed by her sister Gail and brother Mike, she will also be missed by many valued family and friends.
Donna was a very strong woman who had a 46 year career as a Registered Nurse.
Donna's life will be celebrated at Christ the King Church in Sudbury on Saturday Aug 10/2019 at 11:00am. Family and friends are invited to a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to the SPCA would be appreciated.

Beloved wife of Fred Thomas predeceased 2009. Loving mother of Raymond predeceased (Adele of Ottawa) and Donald (Frances predeceased) of Elliot Lake. Cherished grandmother of Brent, Heather, Tim, Kirk and Janna and great grandmother of Riley. Will be missed by her stepdaughter Bertha Robertson (Wallace) of Beachburg. Born in Sudbury January 17, 1966, Wade grew up and lived in Lively until he married Deborah on July 27, 1991. Loving and devoted husband to Deborah (Mousseau) for 28 years. Beloved father of Donalda (Roman), Daniel, Damara, Xavier,Carson, all of Capreol. Very special Uncle/Surrogate Dad to Thomas. Special Foster father too many children and everyone who called him "Dad". Forever cherished by his Sister-in-law & God-Mother Elizabeth Mousseau. Son of Natalie & Oliver Moxam (both pre-deceased). Son-in-law of Donalda & John Mousseau (both predeceased). Brother-in-law to Norman Mousseau (predeceased). Survived by his sisters Pat DiPasquale (Larry) of Fort McMurray Alberta, Brenda Johnson (Jim) of Worthington, Valerie Salo (Ken) of Naughton,Tania Swanson (Todd) of Worthington. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews.
Wade worked for Community Living of Greater Sudbury for over 27 years, spending most of those years at Grandview Residence with 'his boys'. Wade was a dedicated family man who always put his family and friends first. His favourite things were going to camp, Halloween, and on-line slots. Wade had a unique personality, quick wit, and infectious laugh. He will be dearly missed by all how loved and knew him.

Rest In Peace—Tammy Ann FREDRICKSON
The Honorable Tammi Fredrickson of Coon Rapids, beloved wife, mother, sister, friend, and avid REO Speedwagon fan, passed away June 3, 2019. Tammi was born in Sudbury Ontario and spent her childhood years in Capreol, Ontario and then Hibbing, Minnesota.
She is survived by husband Tom; children, Kate and Mike; sister, Wendy (Rob) Hayes; and mother-in-law, Dee Dee.
She was preceded in death by parents Ross and Eda and father-in-law, Glen.
Tammi leaves behind friends too numerous to mention including the Investors, the Island Lake crew, the Thursday Night crew, and many friends made through her children's youth sports. She also leaves dear family throughout Ontario, including Toronto, Sudbury, Cornwall, and Parry Sound.
Appointed as a judge in the Tenth Judicial District by Governor Tim Pawlenty in 2006, Tammi served her community until her death. She is a former City Attorney for Coon Rapids. Tammi graduated from William Mitchell College of Law, J.D. (magna cum laude) and the University of Minnesota, B.A. As a judge, Tammi was most proud of co-founding the Anoka County Veterans Court (helping vets access resources available to them and address their outstanding legal issues) and training and mentoring new judges across the state of Minnesota.
A special thank you from the family to the University of Minnesota Oncology and Palliative Care teams and the staff at J.A. Wedum Residential Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the University of Minnesota Masonic Cancer Center, The Breath of Hope Lung Foundation, or to the discretion of the family.

In loving memory of Colleen Shpaiuk who passed away at Pioneer Manor on Tuesday, May 21st, 2019 in her 97th year. Beloved daughter of Elie and Mary Shpaiuk (both predeceased). She was born in Sellwood, Ontario on September 9th, 1922. Dear sister of Victoria, Orest (Ernie predeceased), Olga and Victor (both predeceased as infants). Dearly loved cousin of Robert Jaworski predeceased (Margaret) and their sons Douglas (Loretta) and Gregory, and Donald Jaworski (Faye) and their sons Robert (Amy) and Kevin; George Spence (predeceased), Elaine Laney (Dwight predeceased), Patricia Mackie (George predeceased), Mary Wilson (Lynn), Faith Pinchak, Robert Shpaiuk (Diane), Robbie Ann Pagnutti (Douglas) and their families. Sadly missed by many friends. Colleen worked for many years as Executive Secretary at the Foundation Company of Canada in Toronto and subsequently returned to Sudbury as Executive Secretary to the Chairmen of what was then the Regional Municipality of Sudbury. Upon retirement there she continued to work at OSSTF until the age of 74. She was a devout Anglican and longstanding member of St. James Anglican Church. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Northern Cancer Foundation, Church of the Epiphany or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
